CLIMATE & WEATHER OF NYUNGWE – Generally, the climate in Nyungwe Forest National Park is cool and very wet due to its high altitudes, with its highest point at 2,190m above sea level.

The park receives over 2,000mm of annual rainfall.

The temperatures in Nyungwe Forest National Park are consistent throughout the year, considering the park’s proximity to the Equator.

Daytime temperatures are usually around 20°C, while nighttime temperatures drop to 11°C.

The Dry Season in Nyungwe Forest National Park:

June, July, August, and September

The Wet Season in Nyungwe Forest National Park:

October – November, March, April, and May
