Imbaraga Trail – Imbaraga Trail is one of the oldest trails (among the first) established in Nyungwe Forest National Park.
It is approximately 10 km long and takes up to 6 hours to complete on a round hiking trip, leading hikers to four different beautiful waterfalls along the trail and over the canopy walkway.

With some luck, hikers on the Imbaraga Trail can encounter the endangered chimpanzees of Nyungwe Forest.
The best time to go hiking on the Imbaraga Trail in Nyungwe Forest is during the dry season from June to September and from December to February.
Nonetheless, hiking can be done all year round in Nyungwe. Just avoid the heavy rain month of April as the trails get very muddy and slippery, making them harder to navigate.
