KITABI ECO-CENTER – Kitabi Eco-Center is located in the Kitabi sector in Nyamagabe district in the southern part of Rwanda. The lodge is strategically located just 1 km from Nyungwe Forest National Park, separated from the national park by a tea plantation and a buffer zone.
At only 33 km from the edge of Nyungwe Forest National Park, Kitabi Eco-Center is among the closest accommodation facilities to the forested national park, granting its guests easy access to the park for a rewarding safari.
The facility is powered by solar energy. Guests of Kitabi Eco-Center can choose to stay in either the tented rooms, grass-thatched standard rooms, or camp out at night under the starry skies.
Those planning on camping can carry their own camping equipment or hire camping tents on-site, available in different capacities.

How to Get to Kitabi Eco-Center
Kitabi Eco-Center can be accessed by road transport or air transport. By road, you can access Kitabi Eco-Center from Kigali city using private or public means via some interesting places you can stop at along the way, like the Ethnographic Museum and the King’s Palace Museum. The road trip can take about 5 hours.
By air, guests can fly in from Kigali airport to Kitabi, from where they will drive to Kitabi Eco-Center.
