Karamba Trail – Karamba Trail in Nyungwe Forest National Park is among the hiking trails in the forest famous for its excellence in providing a rewarding birding experience.
Karamba Trail is a western hiking trail that was formerly a gold mine, a stone quarry, and an army base.
With this much human activity in the area, the natural environment was degraded, but with the eradication and control of human activities along the Karamba Trail, the natural environment is recovering steadily.
Colorful orchids can be seen on this trail, and big giant trees line the forest margin.
