Nyungwe Eco Village – Born from BIOCOOP Rwanda, Nyungwe Eco Village is an eco-friendly village/enterprise located in Kitabi, just a kilometer away from the eastern entrance of the forested Nyungwe Forest National Park in Nyamagabe District.
Ecosystem restoration, ecotourism promotion, eco-lodging, biological research, community health and development, biodiversity conservation, environmental management, climate change adaptation, and mitigation are some of the core focuses at the heart of Nyungwe Eco Village.
These efforts extend to the different districts surrounding Nyungwe Forest National Park, including Nyamagabe District, Nyamasheke District, Rusizi District, Nyaruguru District, and Karongi District.
